There have been rumours of the next generation of Lumia smartphones from Microsoft, and it looks like the first solid leak of the device has appeared online. A device purporting to be the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL, codenamed Cityman, has been leaked on the WPXAP forum.
Most of the design of the Lumia 950 XL has been disguised by a case, leaving only the front display and the USB charging port visible in pictures. There has been some debate on whether this is really the Lumia 950 XL, or if it is the smaller Lumia 950 version. It is impossible to tell from just the pictures, and there will be no telling until the phones are officially revealed.
What is certain is that the USB charging port is of the new Type-C standard that is becoming more common. There is also a shot of the rear camera which appears to be a 20MP shooter. More importantly, screenshots show that the camera will be capable of taking 120fps/720p video.
Another revelation from the leak is that the case preventing anyone from seeing the final design of the phone also serves the purpose of identifying the phone in the event of any leaks. In other words, Microsoft knows precisely who handled this phone and it is expected that an unpleasant conversation has taken place.
