In celebration of its 15th anniversary, Leapfrog has launched a slew of new products under its various brands. These include products from Armaggeddon, Sonic Gear, Power Logic, and the company’s new brand that focuses on high-end offerings, Elysium. Here are some highlights of the 30 products launched today here in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
Armaggeddon RGB Mechanical Keyboards
Among gamers, Armaggeddon is not a new name. If you’re a fan of its products, you’d be happy with these three new mechanical keyboards: the MKA-5 Black Hawk, MKA-11 Spectral Hawk, and MKA-13 Chroma Hawk. What makes these keyboards particularly interesting is the fact that these are RGB mechanical keyboards.
Not only that, the design of these keyboards are also pretty sleek. The MKA-5 is a tenkeyless keyboard, while the other two are full-sized boards. Interestingly, Armaggeddon have opted for Kailh switches instead of the more conventional (and popular) Cherry MX switches.
Armaggeddon Gaming Mice
The Armaggeddon Havoc 3 (first two on the left) and the Starship 3 (most right).
Armaggeddon has also unveiled two new gaming mice, the Havoc 3 and Starship 3. Unfortunately, these are not RGB mice, but they are able to display up to seven different colours.
A quick hands on with these optical gaming mice is favourable. They’re comfortable to hold, the scroll wheel is nice and solid, and the mice have a nice tactile feedback with every click. It’s worth noting that the Havoc 3 will be available in both glossy and matte finish.
Armaggeddon Sentinel III
The Armaggeddon Sentinel III is a brand new product category for the brand, but what is it exactly? Well, it’s a rugged power bank. We were told that it has a capacity of 10,000mAh, but we have not received an official specification sheet of it yet, so take it with a grain of salt for now.
In any case, the Sentinel III seems like a durable power bank with several flaps covering its ports. No, it’s not waterproof, but we were told it’s water-resistant. It also has dual output and a convenient flash light.
Elysium Fideliio and Zeon III
Elysium is a new brand name which aims to offer high-end products. At the event, two of its new products were unveiled: the Fideliio and Zeon III. The former is a pair of headphones with 40mm speakers and an impedance of 32-ohm, while the latter is a Bluetooth speaker.
As a high-end product, the Zeon III is claimed to have an “ultra deep, ultra powerful bass performance” and a “near lossless Bluetooth circuit implementation”. It also has a nice brush aluminium finish along with a 220mAh battery.
Sonic Gear Pandora Series
There are also a new lineup of Sonic Gear Bluetooth speakers that were unveiled at the event: the Pandora Series. It consists of the Neo 200, Neon 300, and Classic 500.
Some members of the media connected their devices via Bluetooth to the Classic 500, and as far as first impressions go, it sounds pretty decent. It also has a nice “retro” design that could appeal to certain consumers. (Hipsters, maybe?)
Audiobox Speakers
If you need something bigger than the Sonic Gear Pandora speakers, Audiobox has these two offerings: the luggage bag-sized M30 and the smaller T2. Other than the size difference, both speakers have identical features. These include support for USB playback, Bluetooth, and even FM radio.
The bigger M30 has a 2,600mAh battery that allows play time of up to 3.5 hours, while the smaller T2 has a 1,650mAh cell that keeps it powered up for three hours. As for charging time, the M30 requires only six hours of charging, while the smaller T2 needs eight hours, which is a little odd.
The Others
Armaggeddon Fuze 9 headphones with virtual 7.1 surround sound.
Unfortunately, the retail prices of these products have not been revealed yet. That being said, we were told that these will be available in Malaysia in the coming months. If any of these products piqued your interest, keep your eyes peeled at your local store.
Oh yes, stay tuned for our hands on with the three Armaggeddon RGB mechanical keyboards!
