Just hours after OnePlus took the curtains off the OnePlus 2, the 2016 flagship killer, Maxis is now teasing the device saying that it’s coming. There are no details at the moment, but it looks like Malaysians won’t have to wait too long to get the device.
Maxis is not giving any details at the moment. All the teaser says is that the OnePlus 2 is coming, and that there is a chance “to be among the first in Malaysia to own one”. Interested? Maxis will be giving out more details on their Facebook and Twitter pages on how to secure an “exclusive invite”.

The OnePlus 2 was just unveiled earlier this morning. It features a 5.5” display and as expected, it is powered by a 1.8GHz Snapdragon 810 processor paired with up to 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and has up to 64GB of internal storage. Other specs include Type-C USB port, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, 3,300mAh battery, StyleSwap covers, fingerprint scanner, dual-SIM 4G, and runs on Android 5.1 with OxygenOS from OnePlus.
What’s even more attractive about the OnePlus 2 is at the price. Few weeks ago, OnePlus says that the rumoured price of US$500 is ridiculous and said that it will be priced less than US$450. It is lower than that, much lower. The 16GB variant with 3GB RAM costs US$329 while the 64GB flavour with 4GB LPDDR 4 RAM costs US$380 – that’s less than RM1,500. Let’s hope that Maxis will offer the phone with an equally attractive price.
