Acer has announced new variants of the Revo One compact computer for the Malaysian market; this time with more powerful fifth generation Intel Core i3 and i5 processors inside. An earlier Intel Celeron processor model is already available in stores, and these new machines will soon be joining it.
As far as physical looks go, the all the Acer Revo One computers look the same. However, the insides differ by quite a bit. The new Intel Core i3 powered Revo one will be featuring a 1TB HDD and 4GB RAM; while the variant with the Intel Core i5 processor will ship with 8GB RAM and a 2TB HDD. Both will also feature Intel HD Graphics 5500.
The shared components with the earlier Celeron powered Acer Revo One PC are equipped with 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth 4.0, an SD card reader, HDMI port, mini DisplayPort, LAN port, two USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, and audio jack. They will also ship with the same wireless keyboard and mouse accessories. One additional upgrade for the higher end models of the Acer Revo One is the inclusion of 802.11ac WiFi on top of the b/g/n that exists on the Celeron version.
The Intel Core i3 powered Acer Revo One is expected to be priced at RM1799, while the more powerful Core i5 version is expected to retail at RM2299. Both new specifications of the Acer Revo One are scheduled to be available in August.
