In less than a day, OnePlus will finally be taking the curtains off its next flagship smartphone – the OnePlus 2, and for those of you who would like to watch the live VR launch, the Cardboard app is now available for download.
Last month, OnePlus announced that the OnePlus 2 will be launched via a VR live stream. The company even has its own version of Google Cardboard, which they are giving out for free, and if you wish to witness the launch yourself, the OnePlus Cardboard app is now available for download from the Play Store.
Of course, you don’t need a OnePlus Cardboard, a regular Cardboard from Google would suffice. If you don’t have a Cardboard, don’t worry, you can still catch the live launch via the Cardboard app. OnePlus says that the launch will not be as immersive, but “it will still be interactive and amazing”.
The device is called the 2016 flagship killer and is definitely building up to be one very exciting smartphone to look forward to. While it may use the Snapdragon 810 processor, possibly the biggest setback based on comments we’ve seen so far, but OnePlus says that it will “run cooler than before”, so let’s hope the company keeps up to their promise and launch a flagship killer not only for this year, but for 2016 as well.
The OnePlus 2 launch will be happening tomorrow morning (28 July 2015) at 10:00am local time, how many of you will be taking a little time off work or school to witness the event? Download the OnePlus 2 Launch app from the Play Store now.
