As mentioned before in previous comparison, there are more to each plan outside of these numbers of course. Like Hotlink for example, the telco is offering free Spotify Premium for those who subscribe to a mobile internet plan of 1GB and above. This promotion is part of Maxis’ #MusicNow promotion that is available with its postpaid MaxisONE plan, and is valid only until 31 July 2015.
Other Hotlink promotions include free internet for new #Hotlink subscribers, Hotlink Reload Plus, “Monster Internet with Monster Bytes” from RM5 for 1GB of data (valid for 1 day only, till 15 June 2015), tie-ups with game companies, goodies for K-pop fans, and more.
One of the latest #Hotlink promotions
As for Xpax, the telco is offering phone bundles with the new Magic SIM, allowing you to get selected smartphones for only RM99 with no contract at all. If you need a higher end phone, Xpax is also offering the ZTE Blade L3, Alcatel POP C9 and ZTE Blade S6 Lite with its prepaid bundles.
This promotion was previously available with Xpax Internet of X plans but since Magic SIM has replaced all older Xpax plans, you will get a Magic SIM pack instead of IOX pack. The telco is also offering free movies for its Magic SIM subscribers.
Digi wants to keep its subscribers active by offering extra RM3 credit every month for 3 months after activation. Its pay per use for calls is the most expensive among the three, but offers free unlimited calls and SMS (3000mins and 3000SMS FUP), for 3 of your favourite Digi contact. Other benefits include extra 50% credit under Birthday Bonus, and free Digi Live Web passes.
U Mobile is taking things to a whole new level with their new #FreeInternetForLife campaign that offers free internet for ever, as long as you are subscribed to its Power Prepaid. Just top up a minimum of RM10 a month (10 days validity with 15mins of free onnet calls a day for 10 days), and the telco will credit 1GB of high-speed internet to your account every month.
U Mobile claims that you don’t have to top up any more than that but of course, in order to use your prepaid the entire month, you will need to top up a minimum of RM30/RM31. Other U Mobile benefits still exists like free 50MB of data roaming each day to selected countries, and free YouTube and TonTon video streaming everyday from 2am to 10am when you subscribe to a UMI plan.
Of course, you can’t do much with 64kbps internet, but the best thing about it is that you will never get charged for pay per use data usage anymore. Data usage is usually the number one killer for your credits and with PPU data eliminated, your credits will no longer be deducted without your knowledge. Plus, I guess it’s sufficient for basic text messaging on your favourite messaging apps.
