It looks like the rumours were true after all, Apple recently introduced new a iPod touch featuring new colours, upgraded chipset, improved camera, and of course, Apple Music.
Unveiled just last week, Apple’s latest iPod touch is now available in a new lineup of colours including space grey, silver, gold, pink and blue. These colours are consistent with the pictures that were published onto the latest version of iTunes about three weeks ago.
Beyond colour changes, Apple also gave its iPod touch a much needed hardware upgrade. The latest iPod touch is now powered by the Apple-designed A8 chipset paired with M8 motion coprocessor. This allows for up 10 times better graphics performance compared to previous versions, along with better fitness tracking and of course, a better battery life. The Cupertino company also improved the cameras on the iPod touch, giving it an 8MP iSight rear camera, paired with an improved FaceTime HD camera at the front for better selfies.

The latest iPod touch is available for purchase on Apple Malaysia’s online store starting from RM779, and will ship in 4 to 5 weeks. As for the iPod nano and iPod shuffle, they are also available in the new range of colours starting from RM589 and RM189 respectively.
