It seems like the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and S6 edge+ have received an early launch date as expected. Slated to be unveiled on the 12th of August 2015, more specifications of both devices have been revealed, including the processor powering the S6 edge+ and whether or not the Note 5 will have a microSD card slot.
Okay, let’s get the elephant in the room out of the way first: the Galaxy Note 5 will not come with a microSD card slot. Seeing how it will also have a glass back design like the Galaxy S6 duo (well, trio now), a removable battery is highly unlikely as well.
Details on the Galaxy S6 edge+ phablet still remain light for now, but SamMobile did confirm the processor that will be powering it: the Samsung Exynos 7420 processor. That’s right, the very same chipset powering the other two Galaxy S6 smartphones. It will be paired to 3GB of RAM as well, making the Note 5 the first and only (for now) Samsung smartphone to boast 4GB of RAM.
As usual, the launch date and availability of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and S6 edge+ in Malaysia have not been announced yet. That being said, we can probably assume it would reach our shores shortly after the 12th August unveiling.
