It was brewing in the rumour mill for quite some time, and it looks like Samsung is finally ready to unveil a brand new mid-range Android Smartphone – the Samsung Galaxy A8.
The device was launched in China, and like the existing Galaxy A-series, the A8 is a very classy looking smartphone dressed in metal, giving it very premium look and feel. It measures at only 5.9mm thin, making it the thinnest smartphone from Samsung so far.
As for the specs, the Samsung Galaxy A8 is feature-packed too. It has a 5.7” Full HD Super AMOLED display at the front and right beneath that is a 1.5GHz 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 128GB via microSD slot.
Camera wise, there is a 16MP shooter at the back, accompanied by a 5MP front-facing camera. Other specs include LTE connectivity, fingerprint sensor, 3050mAh battery, and runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box.
Sadly though, if you wish to get your hands on the Galaxy A8, it is only available in China at the moment in white, black and gold. Samsung did not announce anything about global availability, but if it does get launched here, will you get the Samsung Galaxy A8?
