HP has taken the veil off the new limited edition EliteBook Folio 1020. While its name is quite a mouthful to say, it’s one sleek-looking laptop. It has received a new colour scheme and a pair of Bang & Olufsen speakers, which should promise better sound quality than a typical laptop.
Other than a new exterior look and inclusion of the Bang & Olufsen speakers, the EliteBook Folio 1020 is the same under the chassis. It is still powered by an Intel Core M processor paired with 8GB of RAM, SSD storage up to 512GB, and a fingerprint reader. After all, the Folio 1020 is aimed at enterprise users.
What makes the EliteBook Folio 1020 particularly interesting is its display, size and weight. It’s 12.5-inch display can be configured to be either a 1080p non-touch panel or a much sharper 2560 x 1440 resolution touch display. It is also only 15.7mm thin and weighs a mere 1.21kg, making it thinner and lighter than even Apple’s MacBook Air.
Unfortunately, the local availability of this limited edition HP EliteBook Folio 1020 has not been announced yet. The same goes for pricing as well, which is still undisclosed globally. Chances are, it would cost more than the standard edition of the laptop.
