Earlier today HP has officially launched two of its latest 2-in1 devices for Malaysian market in the form of Spectre x360 and 2015 Pavilion x2. While the Spectre x360 was already available for order last month, the new 2015 Pavilion x2 is revealed for the first time in Malaysia since its recent global announcement.
Apart from finally making its official entrance into our shores, there is generally nothing new to add regarding the availability of Spectre x360 in Malaysia. As a refresher for those who are not familiar with the device, the top of the line 2-in-1 convertible laptop made its debut at MWC 2015 earlier this year and is the first in the Spectre family to feature such form factor.
With a thickness of 15.9mm and weights at under 1.5 kg, the Spectre x360 also features a full metal chassis and comes in three different variants. Depending on respective configurations, the laptop which also features a 13.3-inch display is priced from RM 3,999 to RM 5,999.
Meanwhile, the third generation Pavilion x2 mark the return of full hard shell keyboard to the affordable 2-in-1 detachable laptop series. In addition to that, the multi-mode laptop also features a new latch-less magnetic hinge design, USB Type-C connector, and dual front firing speakers powered by B&O Play.
Most of the specs looked identical to previous generation Pavilion x2 though including the 10.1-inch display with 1280 x 800 resolution, 2GB RAM, and 32GB eMMC internal storage. At the same time, it is also equipped with an Intel Atom Z3736F quad-core processor that has the same base clock speed of 1.33GHz as per the Atom Z3745D in previous generation Pavilion x2 but with a faster burst speed of 2.16 GHz as opposed to Z3745D’s burst speed of 1.83 GHz.
As for retail availability, the new 2015 Pavilion x2 has been scheduled for release in Malaysia from August onwards for RM 1,299. Do stay tuned for a closer look at the new 2015 HP Pavilion x2 and Spectre x360 coming your way soon.
