Joining the Samsung Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 is the yet to be officially announced Galaxy A8, which has been extensively leaked in a hands on video. Just like the other Galaxy A series devices, the A8 features a metal construction. With a 5.7-inch display and measuring 5.9mm thin, the A8 is the biggest and thinnest Galaxy A device yet, taking the title away from the Galaxy A7.
The Galaxy A8 continues the tradition of Samsung’s A series, in the sense that it is a mid-range device. In terms of specification, it has a 5.7-inch 1920 x 1080 resolution Super AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a fingerprint sensor, a 3,050mAh battery, and a new version of TouchWiz based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

The camera sensor that will be used in the Galaxy A8 is quite an interesting one. According to SamMobile (which has proven to be a very reliable source), the A8 will be equipped with a new 16MP ISOCELL rear camera that is 23% thinner than the Sony IMX240 sensor used in the Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 edge and Note 4. The front-facing shooter, on the other hand, will be a 5MP unit.
Samsung has yet to officially announce the Galaxy A8, but seeing how it has been leaked rather extensively already, we might hear from the Korean giant very soon.
