Maxis has just launched a voice pack on Waze navigation app called Safe Mode Kids, featuring voices from Malaysian children. Available immediately, the new feature is more than just a voice pack, it aims at keeping drivers safe, especially during this festive season.
The voice pack is available in Waze navigation app. Just hit the settings menu, select Sound, and change the voice language to “English (US) – Safe Mode Kids” that is “powered by Maxis”. The voice pack features children from ages three to 12, navigating you around while giving safety reminder every now and then.
The new voice pack is a collaboration between Maxis and Waze to help people around the world drive safer. In a survey, 97% of Malaysian parents claim that they drive much safer when their children are in the car. With a voice pack featuring voices of kids, Maxis and Waze hopes that this will remind parents and other drivers to drive safely. There are also safety reminders like “Don’t forget your seatbelt!”, “Re-routing. Eyes on the Road!”, “Accident reported ahead. Please be careful, ok?”, and more.
The new voice pack is available immediately, and will be available until the end of the year. Going back to your home town this Hari Raya? You know which voice pack to use. Check out the Google Play Store, Apple App Store or Windows Phone Store to download Waze on your device now, or visit Maxis for more information about its new Safe Mode Kids voice pack.
