There are a number of smartphones in the market that features an LED flash on the front camera, and it looks like Samsung isn’t going to lose out to its competitors.. The company has just announced two new smartphones in China, called the Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5, both of which features a front-facing LED flash.
Both the Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 are mid-range Android smartphones. The Galaxy J7 is the higher-end device with a larger 5.5” HD display, octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor, and a larger 3000mAh battery. The Galaxy J5 on the other hand, feaures a 5” 720p display, a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, and has a 2,600mAh battery inside.
Apart from that, everything else about both devices are very similar. They are LTE-enable mobile phones with 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage (up to 128GB via microSD card), features a 13MP rear camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, dual-SIM, and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
With LED flash at the front of the phone, users can easily take self-portraits even in the dark. As usual, there are beauty features on board that smoothens the skin, enlarges the eyes, and gives a little digital face-lift to its users. Other features found on the front camera include a self-timer, and a wide-angle 85-degree lens that can be extended to 120-degrees.
The Samsung Galaxy J5 and J7 will go on sale in China starting this week in black, white and gold. The J7 costs 1,798yuan (about RM1,080), while the J5 costs 1,398yuan (about RM840).
