First introduced to the world two months ago, the new Microsoft Lumia 540 is now officially available in Malaysia. Built with dual-SIM functionality and 5-inch 720p ClearBlack IPS display, Lumia 540 has been touted as a capable smartphone for budget-oriented users.
Powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor, the device also features 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage that can be expanded further via its MicroSD slot. Other than that, Lumia 540 also comes standard with an 8-megapixels F2.2 28mm auto focus camera and LED flash at its rear together with a 5-megapixels F2.4 24mm wide angle camera on its front.

With a thickness of 8.6 mm, the 152 grams smartphone also carries a removable 2,200 mAh battery that able to deliver maximum dual SIM standby time of up to 24 days, 3G talk time of 14.8 hours, and 6.9 hours of video playback time. Pre-installed with Windows Phone 8.1 Lumia Denim Update, Lumia 540 can be updated to Windows 10 once it is ready for smartphones later this year.
