For those of you who need an affordable Android tablet for work or for play, Samsung has got just the thing for you with the new entry-level Samsung Galaxy Tab E.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab E features a large 9.6” TFT LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage on board (up to 128GB microSD).
Camera wise, it features a 5MP shooter at the back that is capable of recording HD videos at 30fps, while the front is equipped with a 2MP shooter. Other specs include 5000mAh battery, Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, and runs on Android 4.4 out of the box.
The tablet is priced at US$225 in Taiwan (about RM844), and will be available for purchase in the country by the end of the month. Sadly though, Samsung did not mention anything about international availability, but if you would like to get a new tablet from the company, the Galaxy Tab A was recently launched here for RM1,299 for the 8” model, and RM1,599 for the 9.7” model. It’s more expensive, but the hardware on the Galaxy Tab A is definitely a lot more appealing compared to the Tab E.
