News about an iPad Pro has been brewing in the rumour mill for a very long time now, and now that Apple has made its iPads more useful than ever wit the introduction of iOS 9, will it finally launch the much awaited device? According to a secret keyboard hidden in iOS 9 source code, they might.
A developer recently discovered that there is a new, larger keyboard layout in iOS 9 beta. The keyboard isn’t much different than what we have now. Apart from being catered for a larger screen size, there is an extra row at the top for symbols, along with shortcuts for cut, copy and paste. There are also new redo, tab and a caps lock key.
This doesn’t confirm anything of course, however, it’s good to note that for several years now, Apple has always prepared for new devices as such. When iOS 6 was introduced, the beta version was scaled up to fit the 4” display of the iPhone 5. Similarly, iOS 8 beta also had codes hinting at larger displays for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
How many of you here are waiting for Apple to launch an iPad Pro?
