Bethesda has pretty much kick start E3 2015 with a boom thank to various announcements including the new Doom title, Dishonored 2, Fallout 4 release date, and Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition which include a working replica of the famed Pip-Boy gadget from the game series. Additionally, the company has also revealed and released its new Fallout-themed mobile game called Fallout Shelter.
In the game, gamers will assume the role of an Overseer who is responsible to manage an underground vault made by none other than Vault-Tec. Specifically, gamers will have to build and expand the vault as well as assigning necessary roles to its inhabitants and grow them into a functional community within the vault. This brief trailer explains the game’s context very well:
Available for free of charge (although it does offer in-app purchases), Fallout Shelter is available immediately for iPad and iPhone. It seems like the game is exclusive to iOS device at the moment but nevertheless, Bethesda’s Pete Hines has confirmed that the company will reveal more details regarding the Android version of the game later on.
While we only had a brief time with it, the game seems to be quite solid and looks really good in terms of graphics as far as our first impressions are concerned. We not sure if anyone share this particular opinion about the game but we do feel that Bethesda should made Fallout Shelter available for PC too since we believe the game might enjoyable on a bigger display as well and will allow gamers yet another way to spend their time while waiting for the release of Fallout 4 this November.
Meanwhile, check the game out yourself by downloading it for your iPad and iPhone.
