Bethesda just made a lot of its fans happy when it unveiled numerous details on its upcoming game: Fallout 4. Set in a pre-apocalypse world, the game will be launching on the 10th of November. However, even more exciting than the release date is the fact that the Collector’s Edition of the game will come with an actual Pip-Boy that you can wear on your wrist.
During the announcement of the very real and actually working Pip-Boy, Todd Howard – the Game Director and Executive Producer at Bethesda, said: “as far as stupid gimmicks go, I chose the best one.” That being said, we’re sure many Fallout fans are more than eager to get their hands on the “stupid gimmick”.

In reality, the Pip-Boy is “just” a wearable sleeve that you can slot your iPhone or Android device into to act as a second screen. While a second-screen experience isn’t anything new – the Nintendo Wii U is already doing it – the fact that it is packaged in such an iconic device from the game will (most probably) make a lot of fans of the Fallout franchise happy.
Bethesda’s Fallout 4 will be releasing on the 10th of November 2015. It will be making its way to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and of course, PC as well.
