The arrival of Oculus Rift into the industry pretty much kick start the latest iteration of virtual reality fever but since the final version for consumer will only be out next year, it is surely not easy for members of the public to experience the headset at this side of the world. This weekend, there will be one such opportunity for everyone to check it out though as History Asia will be utilizing Oculus Rift to introduce their upcoming show, Alone.
Premiering on 22 June, Alone is the channel’s latest reality TV show which focuses on jungle survival and involving 10 survival experts in a remote area of Northern Vancouver Island. With the help of virtual reality via Oculus Rift, History Asia aims to reproduce the wild jungle survival experience that Alone’s participants have to go through in the TV show.
However, the Alone 4D experience at the LG1 Concourse of Sunway Pyramid will only be around for the next two days. Hence, we suggest you to be there at your earliest convenience if you always been wondering what Oculus Rift is all about or would like to know more about the new reality show from History.
