Sony Mobile Malaysia today announced the arrival of its latest full-sized tablet – the Sony Xperia Z4 tablet. Announced at MWC 2015 earlier this year, the tablet costs RM2,699 for the standard version, and RM3,199 for the keyboard bundle.
Touted as the “world’s lightest and slimmest 10” tablet”, the Sony Xperia Z4Tablet measures at 6.1mm thin and weighs only 393 grams. It features a 10.1” 2K display on board with the company’s X-Reality for mobile engine, for “simply breathtaking detail.”
On the inside, the tablet is powered by non-other than the 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor found in most 2015 flagship devices. That is paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage on board (up to 128GB via microSD card).
Camera wise, Sony is using an 8.1MP Exmor RS for mobile at the back that can also capture Full HD videos. The front has a 5.1MP camera with wide-angle lens, making it a great device to capture “wefies” or for your video conferencing needs. Other specs include 6,000mAh built-in battery, LTE connectivity, Sony 3D Surround Sound technology with Clear Audio+ and xLoud experience, and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out if the box.
Like the rest of the Xperia Z series devices, the Z4 Tablet has IP65/68 rating for water and dust resistance. This time round, the Z4 Tablet does not have a flimsy cover for its Micro USB port so no more fiddling around just to charge your tablet.
The Xperia Z4 Tablet will be available on 22 June 2015 for RM2,699 for the standard version, and RM3,199 for the one with a keyboard. It will be available in both black and white.
