Three months ago, Facebook announced that its Messenger platform can now support apps and allow you to keep in contact with businesses. Now, it looks like you can even play games too as you chat with your friends.
Spotted on the App Store and Play Store, Doodle Draw for Messenger is the first game for Facebook Messenger. As its name suggests, it is similar “Draw Something”, whereby you can doodle something, and let your friend guess what it is and of course, continue with your usual conversations.
Don’t get too excited yet though, you know all those games invites that you hate but keep receiving? With games on Facebook Messenger, things might get a whole lot more annoying. At launch, Doodle Draw lets you earn in-game coins by inviting friends – can you imagine receiving a bunch of messages from your friends just to get you to play games? Thankfully, according to Tech Crunch, the developers at Doodle Draw has removed the feature, so one can only pray that other game developers wouldn’t resort to such technique to get people to play their games.
Facebook opened up its Messenger platform back in March, with support for a collection of apps such as GIFs, GIPHY, Bitmoji, Pic Stitch and such. Doodle Draw is one of the latest additions, and is available on both Android and iOS.
