Even though the AMD 6th generation A-Series processors were only launched last week at Computex Taipei, we believe we have just spotted the first product in our market to feature one of the new processors. It came in the form of HP Pavilion 15, as listed on HP Malaysia’s official online store.
According to the listing, the 2.21kg notebook is equipped with AMD A10-8700P processor which is the mid-range model in the AMD Carrizo family and runs at a base clock speed of 1.8 GHz as well as maximum boost clock speed of 3.2GHz. It seems that this notebook supports AMD Dual Graphics technology since the notebook comes with AMD Radeon R7 M360 GPU with dedicated 2GB DDR3 video RAM in addition to the Radeon R6 six-core GPU that is already integrated into the processor.
Other than that, the Pavilion 15 also features a 15.6-inch 1366 x 768 display, 4 GB of RAM, 2 TB hard drive, two speakers enhanced by Bang & Olufsen, and SuperMulti DVD burner. Judging from the specs, this particular notebook is pretty much made for the mainstream market which is the main reason that drive the creation of AMD 6th generation A-Series processors in the first place.
As for the price, HP Malaysia listed it at RM 1,999 and customers apparently able to have the notebook shipped to them within one to three weeks’ time. To know more about the notebook, head on to HP Malaysia’s online store right here.
