Among the myriad of products that Asus is launching at Computex 2015 is the new Transformer Book T100HA, which is the successor to the affordable T100 ultraportable. Other than having a smaller, reversible USB Type-C port, the T100HA will also be preloaded with Windows 10 and a battery life of 14 hours.
This new Transformer Book is powered by an Intel Atom X5 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. Other specifications include a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 display, a claimed battery life of 14 hours, and of course, a USB Type-C port. While this product will not exactly blow anyone away in terms of hardware, it is the successor to the inexpensive T100.
Physically, the T100HA only measure 8.45mm thick, which is pretty impressive. It doesn’t weigh that much as well, tipping the scales at only 580g. Needless to say, this is the ideal product for users who travel a lot, or for students who want something portable to bring about.
Details are still light on the price and availability of the Transformer Book T100HA, although Asus has given a vague Q3 2015 release time frame for it. If it is priced well, this might just be the perfect product for those who are on a tight budget.
