You might want to buy a Mi Band at the Xiaomi Malaysia 1st anniversary sale today because the fitness band has just gotten more useful. The official Mi Fit app has recently been updated with support for Google Fit.
You’ll still need the Mi Fit app though, the syncing is done through the app rather than feeding information directly from the band to Google Fit. Mi Fit app version 1.4.923 will sync with Google Fit once you log into your Google account. On top of that, the update also brings several UI improvements and bug fixes.
Google Fit is the Mountain View company’s very own fitness app that was launched last year. It works with your smartphone or an Android Wear device to store your walking, running and biking information, and display them in a graph. It works with other fitness devices too like Strava, Withings, Runtastic, Runkeeper and Noom Coach, and with this new update, we can add the Xiaomi Mi Fit app to the list too.
Want to try it out but don’t have a Mi Band? Xiaomi Malaysia’s 1st Anniversary Sale is happening right now, offering the Mi Band basic bundle (one Mi Band + one colour strap) for RM66, so check it out right now (the sale will end at 8PM, 28 May 2015).
