As we approach Computex 2015, the Asus ZenPad 8 has been leaked yet again. This time around, it’s rendered images of the front and back of the device. These pictures reveal the dual front-facing speakers of the tablet along with a “leather” back.
Based on the image of the ZenPad 8’s rear panel, it’s a little hard to judge if this is how the back actually looks like, or the ZenPad 7 is placed in front of it. If the former is the case, we can expect the ZenPad 8 to have a full leather back, although chances are it’s simply a faux-leather panel.

So far, the rumoured specifications of the ZenPad 8 include an 8-inch 2048 x 1536 display with a 4:3 aspect ratio, an Intel Atom Z3560 or Z3530 processor paired with 2GB of RAM, and four choices of internal storage: 8GB, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. Looking back at the image of the tablet’s back panel, the slot on the top right could possibly be a microSD card slot or a SIM slot (or both?).
Other than the ZenPad 8, Asus will most probably unveil the ZenPad 7 as well in Computex 2015 next week. Equipped with a 7-inch 1024 x 600 display, an Atom x3 processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB or 16GB of internal storage, it’s likely that this is a budget alternative to the ZenPad 8.
Computex 2015 will be held from next week onwards with Asus’ Zensation event happening on the 1st of June. We should be seeing the ZenPad 7 and 8 unveiled then, along with the ZenWatch 2.
