After several weeks since its first announcement, Facebook has decided to roll out its video calling feature to more countries around the world.
Announced about three weeks ago, Facebook Messenger for iOS and Android can now make video calls to one another, and of course, via the web too. Video calling has been on Facebook Messenger on the web for the longest time, and is finally available on mobile, bringing Facebook Messenger a step closer to popular messaging apps like Skype, Viber, Line and such.
Video call on Facebook Messenger was initially launched in only 18 countries. With this latest update, it is now available worldwide, with a few exceptions, which Facebook says that they are still trying to improve the quality for. Sadly though at the time of writing, it’s not available on our Facebook Messenger yet so I guess we’ll need to be patient and wait a little longer. Video Calling is available on both Android and iOS devices, so if you haven’t already, check out their respective stores to download the app on your device.
