Remember the Sharp Aquos Crystal and Crystal X which were unveiled last year? Well, here are their successors, the Aquos Xx and Aquos Crystal 2. Featuring a bezel-less design alongside respectable specifications, these are two gorgeous smartphones that are not just all style with no substance.
Just like how the Sharp Crystal X is the higher-end model, the Aquos Xx is Sharp’s new flagship model. Under its hood are a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor paired with 3GB of RAM, a rather sharp (excuse the pun) 5.7-inch 1920 x 1080 display, 32GB of internal storage which is expandable with a microSD card up to 128GB, a 13MP rear camera with CMOS sensor, and a front-facing 2MP snapper with a CMOS sensor as well. Rounding out the specifications are a 3,000mAh battery and Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
The lower-end Aquos Crystal 2, on the other hand, has a 5.2-inch 720p display, a Snapdragon 400 (still?) processor paired with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (which can also be expanded with a microSD card up to 128GB), an 8MP rear camera, a 2MP front shooter, a 2,030mAh battery, and Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
Both the Sharp Aquos Xx and Crystal 2 support LTE connectivity. As for availability, the Aquos Xx will be released sometime in June 2015 while the Crystal 2 is set for a July 2015 debut in Japan. Unfortunately, the retail prices of these smartphones have not been revealed yet.
