Don’t worry Android users, Instagram hasn’t forgotten you. Two months after releasing its collage app, Layout from Instagram, for iOS users, the app is now available for download on the Play Store.
Layout from Instagram is the company’s latest app that helps you easily create a photo collage before you share them on the social network. It looks like a typical collage maker that lets you select pictures from your gallery and puts them together into a single image, but Instagram says that it is a lot simpler than other collage makers out there.
All you need to do is select up to nine pictures from your gallery, and Layout will automatically put the pictures into different layouts for you to pick from. Once done, you can easily resize the pictures, flip or rotate them them, and adjust the frame size to your liking. Most collage apps in the market require users to predetermine the number of pictures they want before making the collage, a rather redundant and troublesome step.
Like the iOS app, there’s a Faces option that shows you all the pictures that have faces in them, or capture spontaneous moments using the Photo Booth. The final image will be in square, which means that it is just perfect for you to share on Instagram, and of course, Facebook.
