It looks like the latest flagship smartphone from LG, LG G4, isn’t the only device the Korean company has up its sleeves. They just introduced two new devices in the G4 series called G4 Stylus and G4c, both of which are lower-end compared to the G4, but are “exceptionally priced”.
The LG G4 stylus is a mid-range version of its flagship LG G4. It features a 5.5”HD display with a pixel density of 258ppi, and as its name suggests, has a stylus on board. Just like the LG G3 Stylus, it uses a Rubberdium Stylus that is good for “note taking and drawing on the generously-sized screen”.
There are two variants of LG G4 stylus – LTE and 3G only. The LTE version is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, while the 3G version sports a 1.4GHz octa-core processor (3G), paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage. The higher end one (4G LTE) is equipped with a 13MP rear camera, and the latter has a 8MP shooter at the back; both are equipped with a 5MP selfie camera. Other specs include 3000mAh removable battery, and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
As for the G4c, it is a smaller, entry-level version of the LG G4 that can be considered as a G4 mini. It features a 5” HD display, and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage. Other specs include 8MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, LTE connectivity, 2540mAh removable battery, and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
While these new addition to the LG G4 series may sound like mid-range to low-end devices, they are still equipped with some of the same high-end user experience features on the LG G4 sich as Gesture Shot, Glance View and Knock Code. The LG G4 Stylus even has a super-fast Laser Autofocus found on LG’s flagship devices.
“The G4 Stylus and G4c are perfect examples of what we mean by a premium smartphone experience without a premium price. We are committed to offering consumers in fast-growing markets LG devices that not only deliver performance, but also look good while doing so. Both the G4 Stylus and G4c will surpass customers’ expectations of what an LG phone should be.” — Juno Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.
The LG G4 Stylus and G4c are scheduled to be launched in selected regions around the world in the next several weeks and throughout the month may.
