“Out with the old, in with the new”, Celcom is now allowing you to trade in your old phone and purchase a brand new one from them when you sign up with a Celcom First postpaid plan. Sadly though, Celcom does not list out the value they are offering for devices, but according to the telco, they will ensure a “fair value of trade-in for your phone”.
Celcom is now accepting selected phones for their trade-in offer namely iPhone, Samsung, Sony and HTC. The phones accepted includes iPhone 4 all the way to iPhone 6/6Plus, Samsung Galaxy S3 to S5, Samsung Galaxy Note 2 to Note 4, Sony Xperia Z1 to Z3, and HTC One M7 and M8.
If you’re interested, you will need to check the value of your device at a selected Celcom store nationwide. No box, charger or accessories are needed, just ensure that your phone is in good working condition with a working power on/off button, access to IMEI, no damaged or missing buttons or casings, and display screen must be functional.
For iPhones, “Find my iPhone” must be turned off. The value if your device will be determined by a representative from Celcom, who promises the “best trade in value for your old phone”.
Celcom’s trade-in offer is only valid for purchase of a new device with Celcom First plan, the telco will not trade in for cash. Do note that if the value of your device is more than the total payment for your new device, “the extra value from your trade-in will not be returned to you in any form.”.
Check out Celcom for more information about its trade-in program.
