A month has passed since the last Windows 10 Technical Preview build for phones was released to eager Windows Phone users that are adventurous enough to run the pre-release version of the upcoming operating system. Now, there’s a new build already out in the wild which brings together numerous new features for users to test and then provide their feedbacks through Windows Insiders program.
Referred to as Build 10080 or OS version 10.0.12562.84 inside the device information section, one such feature is the new Microsoft Office apps for phones or more known as Office Universal Apps. This marks the return of Office apps into Windows 10 Technical Preview as they were dropped from previous build.
However, the Office Universal Apps don’t come pre-install with the new build though. Instead, users have to download it through links on Office or Windows team’s official blogs. From there, users will then be relayed to the download page of the respective Office Universal Apps on the Windows Store Beta which is also based on the Universal Windows Platform and one of the latest feature in Build 10080.
The new build also carries together new Xbox, Music Preview, Video Preview, and Camera apps. Not to forget, the release of the new build also expands the availability of Windows 10 Technical Preview to additional devices including Nokia Lumia 930/Icon, Microsoft Lumia 640 and 640 XL, and HTC One M8 for Windows which is the first non-Nokia/Microsoft Windows Phone to support the pre-release operating system.
Being a pre-release product, users need to be aware that Windows 10 Technical Preview for phone is full of bugs and might not be able to run as smooth as what they expected. If you have no problem with that, just head on here to find out how to obtain the latest build of Windows 10 Technical Preview for your Windows Phone.
