Celcom recently added the Xiaomi Redmi 2 into its phone bundles, offering the mid-range device at only RM238.
The telco is offering the Redmi 2 with its Celcom First Basic 85 postpaid plan tied to a 24 months contract. Sadly, this is the only plan the telco is bundling the Redmi 2 with so for those of you who wish to get the affordable Celcom First Basic 38 plan, you can check out the other phone bundles offered.
Celcom First Basic comes with bundled internet, calls and SMS. It also has Optimiser, giving up to 3GB extra of data for free should you need to, or up to 600minutes of free calls.
Xiaomi Redmi 2 first arrived in Malaysia about two months ago. It sports a 4.7” IPS HD display, and is powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 410 1.2GHz quad-core processor. There is an enhanced version in China with more RAM and ROM, but the one currently offered in Malaysia is a normal Redmi 2 with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.
Other specs include 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 2200mAh battery with Quick Charge 1.0, dual-standby 4G connectivity (dual Cat 4 LTE SIM slots), and runs on Android 4.4 out of the box with MIUI 6 interface.
