Finally for those of you who wish to purchase a device bundle with the new affordable postpaid plan from Celcom – Celcom First Basic 38, you may now do so. The telco is offering the Samsung Galaxy V for free or the Sony Xperia E4g from as low as RM158.
However, you will need to subscribe to two movie passes on Celcom ESCAPE for an additional RM10 in order to purchase these entry-level smartphones from Celcom. You can opt to either sign up for a 12 or 24 months contract with this bundle.
Celcom First Basic 38 is without a doubt one of the most affordable postpaid plans in the market. When it was first launched, reports started to come out saying that Celcom caps the speed for this plan to about 5 to 7 Mbps consistently. Fortunately, as of yesterday evening, it looks like the cap has been removed and users are able to browse at a decent 3G/4G speed again.
