Google+ may not be a common social platform for people to share on, and it looks like Google is working hard on changing that. The company just introduced a new feature called Google+ Collections, a more attractive and easier way for users to share based on topics.
Like Pinterest, Google+ Collections sorts out posts into individual topics, so you can easily share and discover new topics like cats, fitness programs, street photography, food, and more. Sounds familiar? It is pretty similar to what Pinterest is offering for its users.

You can easily follow a topic and whatever you follow will appear in your Home stream, complete with links so you can easily jump right to the collection. Have something you’d like to share with people around you and maybe even the rest of the world? Create your own collections and let people find out more about the things you love.
Google+ Collections is available for Android and the web, with an iOS version coming later. For Android users, just give your Google+ app an update, and you will be able to see a new “Collections” feature in the drop-down menu within the app. TO get started, check out Google’s very own Featured Collections page to see a list of topics to follow – our favourite would definitely have to be the one on cats.
So, Google+ Collections vs. Pinterest, which is your pick?
