Google is rolling out an update to its Google Now service, making it more useful than ever. The update brings support for 70 new third-party apps so you can easily stay up to date in a single app.
In the beginning of the year, Google opened up its Google Now for third-party apps integrations. The company has been working hard on making Now works best for you, and with this update, getting relevant information on your mobile has gotten a whole lot more convenient.
Some of the apps included includes Zipcar that keeps track of your return time from your hike, and get directions to the drop-off location using Now cards. There is also Spotify, TuneIn and YouTube integration that will suggest to you playlists for an occasion.
Other examples provided by Google include:
- Get breaking news about the aftermath of the Nepal earthquake from ABC News, Circa, or feedly
- Know when your pad thai is about to arrive with reminders from Eat24 that the food you ordered will soon be on your doorstep, or get inspired with the recipe of the day from Allrecipes
- Keep your fitness goals front and center with gentle nudges from Runkeeper, Jawbone, or Adidas
- And if you’re out to dinner, simply tap on a Now card to pay your bill with OpenTable
Check out Google to see the full lists of apps that Google Now supports. The update is currently being rolled out, and could take a couple of weeks before it reaches your device, so be patient if you don’t see it yet.
