Held alongside the opening of its brand new concept store at Quill City Mall in Kuala Lumpur, Acer today has officially launched its brand new Acer Aspire Switch 10 E for our market. As you might have known, the Switch 10 E was one of the new products that was launched at Acer’s Global Press Conference in New York last week.
Built with a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 IPS display, the new Switch 10 E is powered by the same processer as per its predecessor – the original Switch 10 – which is the 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z3735F quad-core processors from Intel’s Bay Trail family. In addition to that, it also carries the same amount of RAM at 2GB.
Despite that, the Switch 10 E does carry a number of new features including the improved and smoother second generation Snap Hinge 2 mounting on its keyboard dock, BlueLightShield mode for its displaty, and SwitchLock HDD protection. Not to forget, the device is also available in five different colors including Moonstone White, Shark Grey, Peacock Blue, Magenta Pink, and Coral Red.
For the Malaysian market, the Switch 10 E is available in two variant: one being the 64GB built-in eMMC storage while the other variant comes with 32GB internal eMMC storage together with another 500GB hard drive inside its keyboard dock. Apart from these differences, both variants are identical to each other.
In terms of pricing, the 64GB model is priced at RM 1,099 while the 32GB + 500GB HDD model goes for RM 1,399 which is somehow identical to the price of Switch 10 when it was launched in Malaysia last year. Meanwhile, users are able to get their hands on the new Switch 10 E from the first week of May onwards but in case you want to know more about it first, check out our initial hands-on experience with the new Switch 10 E right here.
