League of Legends developer Riot Games has decided to show off picture of its new office on the edge of West Los Angeles. The office is really more of campus inspired by LoL, as well as space for both work and play. There is also a cyber-cafe style setup for late night gaming sessions.
Riot Games staff haven’t moved into the new West L.A campus, and the company has taken the opportunity to virtually show off the place before it’s crawling with developers at work. The actual workspaces look like regular open floor plan offices, with meeting rooms clustered in the middle of the floor. Each meeting room is named after a LoL Champion, and will feature decorations to honour their namesakes. For instance, the Jinx meeting room is receiving chairs upholstered in neon pink and blue faux fur.
Visitors are greeted by a life sized Annie and Tibbers standing guard just in front of the reception desk, while the bar (called Bilgewater Brew) area is modeled after LoL aesthetics. Riot employees will also have access to a traditional style arcade with games like Marvel vs Capcom 2. There is also a room set up to resemble a cyber-cafe, although Riot calls it a PC Bang in reference to the Korean name for the space.
Aside from that, it looks like a nice place to work with spaces for meeting outside and a quad for just enjoying the weather. Riot is promising to update fans with another post once their employees have moved in and personalised the space; however, it is hard to see how they would improve on the decor.
