If you are a DiGi customer that resides in Kuching, Bintulu, and Miri or often visits any of them, we have a good news for you. Earlier today, DiGi has officially launched its 4G LTE in Sarawak and these three cities are among the earliest area to be covered by DiGi’s LTE network in the state.
According to the telco’s Chief Sales Officer, Loh Keh Jiat, DiGi’s customers can expect consistent Internet speed of more than 5Mbps for 80% of the time when they are within DiGi’s LTE areas in these cities. To celebrate the occasion, the telco has set up a three-day roadshow at Plaza Merdeka in Kuching from today onwards to allow DiGi customers to upgrade their standard SIM card to LTE-enabled SIM card for free as well as to check out LTE-enabled products that are available through the telco’s prepaid and postpaid plans.
Meanwhile, the company has also planned to expand its LTE network coverage in more areas within the three cities alongside Sibu and Samarahan very soon. In general, DiGi aims to have 42% of the state to be covered by its LTE network as well as 71% for 3G by the end of 2015.
