It’s no surprise that LG will finally launch its next flagship smartphone at an event scheduled for the 28 and 29 April 2015, but just how great will the LG G4 be? According to this new teaser and the latest updates about its UX, it looks like the device will be very much focused on the camera.
As seen in the video teaser, the LG G4 will have a pretty impressive f1.8 camera on board. The video also demonstrates how great the camera works in low-light conditions, bringing darkness to live. We’re already very impressed by the f1.9 camera on the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge, so an f1.8 camera is definitely something to look forward to.
In addition to that, the Korean company also announced its LG UX 4.0 update, which will debut in the LG G4. The new user experience is simpler, more intuitive, and “more human-centric” with the ability to understand and respond to the needs of each user.
LG UX 4.0 can provide personalised notifications (weather, travel and more) by analysing a user’s daily routine and lifestyle habits. For example, a person who plays the basketball frequently may receive a notification saying “the weather will be mostly sunny today. It’s the perfect weather to get out and play basketball”.

LG UX 4.0 also comes with new camera capabilities. There’s a new Quick Shot mode that let users take pictures quickly simply by double-tapping the phone’s Rear Key even while the display is off. In addition to that, there’s now a manual camera mode that LG boasts “a suite of modules and options for full creative control that would impress even the most experienced photographer”.
Excited to see what the LG G4 has got to offer? We definitely are.
