Solid state drives (SSDs) are generally loved by consumers due to their speed but for some users, the usual SATA-based SSDs are still not fast enough for them. If you are one of them who need something faster for your data storage, then PCIe based SSDs such as these new Intel SSD 750 Series drives might be able to feed your need for speed.
Touted as the company’s highest performing client SSDs at the moment, the 750 Series drives utilize not only PCIe 3.0 x4 but also NVMe interface that is designed to improve the latency on PCIe based SSDs. Apart from that, Intel also claimed that its new 750 Series drives are able to deliver four times more performance than a SATA-based SSD.
Well then, we’ll just let these numbers do the talking:
Available with 400GB and 1.2TB storage space as mentioned above, consumers are able to obtain the Intel SSD 750 Series drives in the form of a 2.5-inch SFF-8639 drive or half-height half-length add-in PCIe card. However, Intel is not able to provide the SSD’s actual availability and pricing in Malaysia for the time being although it goes without saying that these SSDs will come with a hefty price tag once they made their way to local IT stores.
