ASUS PadFone S Plus

When ASUS PadFone S was released in Malaysia last November, it brings together plenty of premium features such as high-end processor, full HD display, 2GB RAM, 13-megapixels camera and LTE connectivity for less than RM 1,000 which is rather impressive. This week, there will be a new PadFone model in town.

However, the new model is actually a slightly refined version of PadFone S which is called the PadFone S Plus. The improvements that the S Plus model offer comes in the form of increased amount of RAM at 3GB as well as 64GB internal storage.

Physically, there seems to be no differences between the new PadFone S Plus and the original PadFone S. Apart from the RAM and internal storage, the rest of the S Plus specs remain identical to the original model including the 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 5-inch full HD IPS display, 13-megapixels PixelMaster rear camera, and 2,300mAh battery.

However, their prices are not the same though. According to Dynamics Distribution which acts as the official distributor for ASUS smartphones and tablets in Malaysia, the PadFone S Plus carries a slightly higher price tag of RM 1,099 as compared to the launch price for the original PadFone S  which was RM 899. The company further added that the PadFone S Plus will be made available on 8 April 2015.
