Google is no stranger to pulling off the most random of things every 1st of April. Most of the time, these can be quite entertaining, especially if you’re really bored right now. Here are two neat “pranks” that Google has come up with.
Play Pac-Man in Google Maps
If you open Google Maps on your browser, you’ll notice that there’s an extra icon at the bottom left of the screen. If you click on it, and the current location shown on the map is suitable for a game of Pac-Man, the classic arcade video game would begin.
Surprisingly, this also works on mobile, but it’s a little bit tricky. Turns out, Pac-Man can only be played in a few places on mobile. You could get some hints from Google over here, but if you can’t be bothered, just look up “Times Square” in the Google Maps app on mobile and enjoy the game. (Complete with sound!)

If Pac-Man isn’t your thing, how about searching the web with a whole new perspective? Head on to com.google and search away – good luck trying to make out what the reversed texts are saying. (Hey, no cheating with a mirror.)
These may not be as cool as capturing Pokemon in Google Maps last year, but these are pretty entertaining nonetheless. Have fun chomping on Pac-Dots and figuring out how to read reversed texts!
