While many are happy that Apple is finally introducing larger iPhones, there are still quite a number of people who would rather stick to a small form factor and Apple is not going to forget about these users. The company is rumoured to be working on releasing three new iPhones later this year, and one of it may be the iPhone 6c, a smaller iPhone with a plastic rear casing and hopefully a cheaper price.
“Future Supplier” claims to have gotten a rear shell of the purported iPhone 6c. As expected, it looks pretty much identical to the iPhone 5c, however, there are some slight changes in the design. Strangely though, looks more like an iPhone 5s rather than an iPhone 6. First up, when compared with the iPhone 5c, the leaked casing has a redesigned camera flash cutout. Instead of a round LED flash found on last generation plastic iPhone and on current iPhones, the one on this leak has an elongated cutout that looks similar to the one found on the True Tone flash on the iPhone 5s.
Flipping it to the bottom, the leaked rear casing also has a redesigned speaker grill. Instead of one row of speaker holes, there are now two rows of holes located on either side of the Lightning port – two rows of four for the speaker, and two rows of three for the microphone. This is similar to the design of the iPhone 5s, which also features two rows of holes on either side of the Lightning port
Do take these pictures with a pinch of salt though, it seems weird that Apple would take a step back in terms of design. The leaked case also looks slightly thicker than the iPhone 5c, which is weird considering that the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are considerably thinner than previous generation iPhones.
Do you think that these pictures are real?
