If you missed the opportunity to grab yourself a brand new Xiaomi Redmi 2 when it went on sale on the 17th of March, don’t be disheartened. Xiaomi will be having an open sale for the affordable smartphone next Monday on the 30th of March, so you don’t have to worry about shortage of stock.
Priced at RM449, the Xiaomi Redmi 2 is currently one of the most affordable smartphone in the market. With a 4.7-inch 720p IPS display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 1.2GHz quad-core processor that is paired to 1GB of RAM, it’s a decently equipped smartphone – especially when you consider its affordable price tag.
Other specifications include 8MP rear and 2MP front cameras, 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded with a microSD card up to 32GB, a 2,200mAh battery, and MIUI 6 that is based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box.
If you’re still sceptical of the Xiaomi Redmi 2’s build quality or performance since it’s only priced at RM449, you can read our hands on of it before putting down the cash for it once the open sale begins this Monday. Nonetheless, the Redmi 2 is definitely worth checking out.
