The retail prices of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge for the Indian and the Philippines market have been revealed. If these prices are any indication of how much Samsung’s latest flagship devices will cost when it arrives in Malaysia, get ready to pay a premium for these equally premium smartphones.
In India, both the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge will be available in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB capacities. The 32GB Galaxy S6 will go for 49,900 Indian rupee (about RM2,935) while the 64GB and 128GB variants will go for 55,900 rupee (around RM3,285) and 61,900 rupee (approximately RM3,640) respectively. The S6 edge, on the other hand, retails at 58,900 rupee (about RM3,465), 64,900 rupee (approximately RM3,815) and 70,900 rupee (around RM4,170) for the 32GB, 64GB and 128GB models respectively.
For the Philippines market, it seems like only the retail prices for the 32GB and 64GB variants of the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge were revealed. The Galaxy S6 is set to go for 35,990 Philippine peso (about RM2,945) and 41,990 peso (around RM3,435) for the 32GB and 64GB models respectively. As expected, the Galaxy S6 edge is set at a higher price point of 41,990 peso (approximately RM3,435) and 47,990 peso (about RM3,925) for the 32GB and 64GB variants respectively.
Judging by these price tags, we can probably expect the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge to retail around these prices once they are made available in Malaysia on the 2nd of April 2015. Looking back, the Korean giant’s latest flagship smartphones sure make the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge’s retail price of RM2,999 seem low now.
