Looking back at old photos and posts you’ve shared on Facebook will be getting a whole lot easier. Facebook just rolled out a new “On This Day” tool, a new way to look back on things you’ve shared and posts you’ve been tagged in on the social network.
Currently being rolled out globally, On This Day shows you things like status updates, photos, posts from friends and other things you’ve shared or been tagged in from a year, two years and so on. Facebook says that all these are private but if you want, you can always share it with your friends to remind what happened on this day.
On This Day can be accessed at the bookmark section of your Facebook account, search for “On This Day” or by visiting facebook.com/onthisday. It is available for web and mobile. This feature is currently being rolled out so if you don’t see it yet, wait a little longer. Once you access your On This Day page, you can subscribe to notifications to be alerted when there’s something to look back on, and like usual posts, you can edit or delete the posts too.
