Today marks the final day for the Major All Stars Dota 2 Tournament here in Stadium Malawati, Shah Alam. Schedules for the matches that will be played today have been released. However, the much-anticipated All-Star match is nowhere to be seen. Who knows? The organisers might leave that as a surprise for the fans who attended. An after-party event will also be held at Best Western Hotel, Shah Alam.
Today’s first match-up will be Team Invictus Gaming going up against Team Empire, both having successfully made their way to the winner’s bracket final. The winning team will earn their spot in the Grand Finals, which will be played later on in the evening. After the 2:0 defeat yesterday to Team Empire, Team Na’Vi picked up the pace and won 2:0 over the Malaysian homegrown team, Team Redemption. NiP has also defeated Team Invasion in a simultaneously-played backstage match, advancing themselves to play against Na’Vi in the loser bracket semi-finals. Hope is not lost for the losing team in winner bracket finals as they can still get one last chance to fight their way back for a spot in the Grand Finals by defeating the victor from the loser bracket semi-finals.
Fallout Gaming has also announced that there will be an after-party event at Best Western Hotel here in i-City, Shah Alam. It will kick off at 11pm and this is where fans can hang out with the participating teams, getting to know their Dota 2 heroes. Fans need to take note that this party is only for Crimson Guard VIP ticket holders and invited partners. Regular Stout Shield and Intermediate Vanguard ticket holders will need to rely on team signing and photo op sessions to meet their favourite Dota 2 idols.
