It has come to our attention that OnePlus One smartphone has appeared on SIRIM’s database once again. This time though, it was registered under Brightstar’s name which may suggests that the distribution responsibility for OnePlus One has been awarded to the well-known company.
If that is true, then it might be possible that OnePlus is finally able to launch OnePlus One in Malaysia soon after facing a rough start to its ambitious plan for our market. At the same time, we also wonder if this is a sign that OnePlus might have changed its mind to release the device into physical stores instead of just through online platforms.
We are working to get in touch with Brightstar to look for clarification on this matter, so stay tuned. For the meantime, check out our previous conversation with OnePlus if you have yet to learn about the company’s plan for Malaysia.
