Match two of Natus Vincere (Na’ Vi) vs. Invasion Gaming lasted all of 10 minutes before all players were disconnected from the game. After several minutes of waiting and numerous attempts of reconnecting, players from both teams were forced to cancel the match and wait until internet connection has been restored.
Tournament organiser Fallout gaming held on stage activities to fill the time and fans were more than happy to go along with it. Volunteers ran up to the stage for the chance to win themselves a Logitech G502 Proteus Core gaming mouse and went all out to win.
Fallout Gaming has not made any comment on the status of the internet connection, and all the teams are able to do is wait for the matches to resume.
[Update] Fallout Gaming has issued a statement on its Facebook page. Still no details about what is going on, but unverified sources say that something has burnt out in one of the team booths.
[Update #2] We have confirmed that it was an electrical surge that caused the LAN cables to burn out. The organisers are currently working on replacing them and rebooting the system. Any reports of an open fire have been proven to be false.
[Update #3] Day 1 of the Major All Stars Dota 2 Tournament has been cancelled, with the remaining matches to be played the next day. More details here.
